Thanks Tom. You're right, and the doctor warned us about that. I'm making sure I stay nourished and full of electrolytes. Thanks for the reminder.

Be careful you don't overdo it. While hyperhydration might be therapeutic for a condition such as your wife's, it can lead to dangerously low electrolyte levels in otherwise healthy individuals, which can cause all sorts of problems.

Drinking lots of water is good, but too much is not good. I'm just saying there is an upper limit.

I have heard of lots of major heath problems fixed by drinking lots of water. Unfortunately I prefer coffee. Probably about time I change my health habits.

I tend not to think about the exact amount of water I drink (too much to keep track of as it is, hehe). Rather, I heard the expression "Drink water 'till you pee water" during a different discussion on this topic, and it's something I've been trying to practice.

I was in Brazil for a couple of years, and at one point was at a meeting with some friends. At this meeting 1.5 liter bottles of water were provided for us to help combat the high temperatures.

It wasn't quite a dare, but I ended up seeing how many bottles I could drink to impress my friends. I downed 7 bottles during the three hours of meetings. Everyone was quite impressed.

I was doing great until I started helping take down the folding chairs from the gymnasium. After running to the bathroom, all of that water came back up.

I guess what I'm saying is, take it easy and maybe spread it out more through the day :-)

I've been trying to drink more water to improve myself. Some days I am lax, others I drink about two gallons in a day. The hardest part about days like that is having to excuse myself from meetings all the time.
