My husband and I have been going to marriage counceling and the xbox addiction is a big issue in our sessions that we have discussed. The councelor says that it is not my responsibility to monitor how much he plays and that if he wants to be the kind of person that play 24/7 than I just need to decide on whether or not that's the kind of person I want to be with. Prior to counceling we had a schedule of when he would play. we agreed that any morning until 11am and one night a week from 6pm-9pm was his free playing time. Unfortunatley, he began waking up in the middle of the night to play until 11am and then would be so exhausted that once I woke up and was ready to start the day he was too tired to do anything. My wife and i are planing to purchase a xbox and have laid ground rules. She is my accountability partner in the process. No need for applause or pat on the back. I am just a voice saying that games can be addicting and that ballance is needed. Schedule a start and stop time to play vs. having a free play session. AS FAR AS iM CONCERNED THE XBOX IS NO DIFFERENT THAN HAVING THE OUIJA BOARD IN THE HOUSE AND GETTING IN TOUCH WITH EVIL SPIRITS, THE REASON I MAKE THIS COMPARESON IS BECAUSE IT STORTS OFF SLOW AND SNOW BALLS OUT OF CONTROL.
